AREAS OF MINISTRY AND BUSINESS

FINANCE  - Dave reported that although a negative cash flow had been projected for November, receipts were larger than expected and November was a good month.   David Dietrich made a motion to accept the resolution from the Finance Ministry to take one-half of the $7,500 from the Krusa bequest in the Sanctuary/Capital Improvement Fund, amounting to $3,750 shall be transferred to the Building/Improvement Fund bringing the balance in that fund to $5,079.51.  The Building/Improvement Fund shall be renamed the Capital Maintenance/Improvement Fund and shall be administered for the purpose of providing money for major maintenance costs and or building improvements that impact the capital value of our facility.  The remaining monies in the Sanctuary/Capital Improvement Fund, amounting to $6,621.65, shall be administered for the purpose of providing funds for the design and or constructions of anew sanctuary and the fund shall be renamed the Sanctuary Fund.  Mary Whitledge seconded.  The motion passed.  A suggestion was made to the Finance Minisitry to invest the Sanctuary Fund.  A budget was presented based on 2003 actual expenditures as a starting point for the proposed budget.  After much discussion a Council meeting was set for January 28th for a budget meeting to finalize the proposed 2004 budget.
