Endowment - Endowment Ministry approved the remaining payments for 2003 to the following programs: LSSI 2nd Family, His Helping Hands and Storybook.
Information about the endowment program will be put on the Grace and Peace website.
All three endowment accounts have earned 6% or greater, year to date. They anticipate disbursing as much from the funds in 2004 as was done in 2003.
There will be a bylaw addition presented to the congregation at the annual meeting to clarify what to do with money that was allocated from the endowment but not disbursed. The bylaw addition states that the unused money will be returned to the Grace and Peace Endowment fund.

Long Range Planning - Office Technology Task Force will make suggestions for a new copier.

Nurture - Working on updating the congregational roster. Sent letters to about 30 people who have not been active at Grace and Peace asking them to clarify what their relationship with the congregation is: do they want to transfer to another congregation, re-commit to Grace and Peace, want information on other churches, and in any case are they interested in more information about our upcoming 10th anniversary?

10th Anniversary Task Force - Written report and budget for 2004 submitted.

Capital Improvement Task Force - Distributed a list of space and storage needs, based on input from the many ministries and others who use this facility. The total additional space suggested is approximately 11,400 square feet. The task force feels that they have accomplished what the council requested them to do.
Council members need to take this information back to their ministries and discuss to be sure that all needs were accounted for. The information will also be included in the annual report.

New Business

Next council meeting will be November 18, 2003, 6:30pm. Devotions and refreshments will be David and Roberta Dietrich. A motion to adjourn was made and passed. The Council closed with The Lord's Prayer.
