Our Christian Education & Youth – Helps to select curriculum, topics, and programs for the congregation and offers assistance and support for the entire Christian education program. Additionally, this ministry helps provide a vibrant youth program beyond Sunday education.
We have outside activities regularly scheduled for our youth. Activities vary from month to month. They include Bible-based learning activities, philanthropic & service projects, crafts & special projects, and family entertainment events. Youth Events
Parent’s Night Out events:
We invite all kids ages 4+ to our Parents’ Night Out! This usually coordinates with one of our Youth Group Nights on the 2nd Friday of the month (typically 6:30-8:00 pm). We have board game nights, movie nights, bowling, crafts, and more! We often serve pizza & snacks as well. Anyone is welcome to attend these Parent Nights out, although we require Registration!

Youth Group Nights:
Our Youth Group is kids ages 5-18 years old and meets the 2nd Friday of the month (typically 6:30-8:00 pm). We have board game nights, movie nights, bowling, crafts, and more! We often serve pizza & snacks as well. We would love to have you join our Youth Group!

Music for Youth:
Many of our youth join in during Global Band Sundays to play hand drums or maracas during service. We have music practices for children, and all children of all skill levels are welcome. Our Sunday School class also incorporates music into lessons. We plan & perform a skit and a few songs for Christmas Service.

Sunday School:
Our Sunday School meets following service between September & May. Service starts at 9:00 am, with Coffee Hour starting at 10:15 and Sunday School at 10:30 am. All ages 3+ are welcome to attend Sunday School with us, kids love our Whirl Classroom curriculum, featuring a short cartoon, lesson from our workbooks, and discussion. We often do crafts or music with kids as well.
We often have fun- theme coffee hours around holidays for the kids and we have a youth Christmas Program during Christmas Service.
We invite you to church any Sunday at 9:00 am!
Kid-Friendly Church Service:
We have coloring pages & crayons at the back of the sanctuary next to the Wiggle Room. Our Wiggle Room is also available for families to use as they need/or want during service. Pastor Beenken, often assisted by Nathan Johnson, delivers a wonderful and fun children’s sermon, featuring Puppets: Minerva the Owl & Sofie the Dragon. We welcome your family to our church. SUMMER VBS (Vacation Bible School)
Every summer Grace and Peace features an exciting, powerful, and FUN week of VBS! Kids enjoy lessons, music, crafts, snacks, games… We have featured water game days and even brought StarLab to our VBS! The last night of VBS is a HUGE BBQ party for all kids and families to attend and celebrate the wonderful week we had! Reach out to our VBS Coordinator Cheriz at Youth@GraceandPeaceLutheran.org
Community Service & Partnerships:
Our Youth also make connections in the community, whether caroling at Lutheran Hillside Village or wrapping bandages for first aid kits for Lutheran World Relief, our Youth love giving back. We also partner will local schools & non-profits and host drives to collect needed items.
